30 Days of Thanks. #5

I’ve been busy, I make no apologies.

I tried making my grandma’s fudge yesterday, but the first batch didn’t turn out right. I realized that I had forgotten to add the salt (1/4 teaspoon), and it didn’t settle like it should have. So I started over.

The second batch didn’t turn out either. I got every ingredient, in the correct order, and it still hasn’t settled like it should. It’s probably one of the easiest things to make, and I can’t get it to turn out right! I’m going to hold out on batch three, mainly because I don’t feel like buying more ingredients this week. I know that it’s possible for me to make this happen, so I’m just going to put it off for another week or so. meh.

Today, I am thankful for being able to travel. It takes a lot of saving, and a lot of planning, but I am thankful for the chance to get on a plane and get away for awhile. Since returning from Ireland, all we want to do is plan another trip, and I feel so lucky that it’s actually possible. The world doesn’t seem like such a big and unknown place anymore, and I crave new spaces and places so much that I am already planning our next adventure. Every day, I am amazed to know that it’s possible.

Okay, Seahawks game day! Time to get down to the stadium to see Blue Thunder:)
