I finally went to the doctor on Friday before we left for Portland, and found out I have an eye infection. Not serious enough to look infected constantly, but still sick. She doesn’t know why, only that my right eye “just isn’t happy”. So, I’m on eye steroids.
So many jokes. So, SO many jokes.
I need to go back on Thursday for get fitted for new contacts or new glasses, I haven’t decided. I really want to choose new glasses, but they’re becoming so “cool” these days, and I don’t know if I can handle that. I actually NEED them to SEE, not as a fashion statement, but any pair that I would want would inevitably be considered “hipster”…so I’m stuck.
Speaking of stuck, the movie “He’s Just Not That Into You” is awesome. I remember trying to watch it when it first came out, but I was in denial, and so I couldn’t watch the whole movie without bumming myself out. Now however, it just makes me smile. It just makes me happy. It just makes me….feel….right.
ugh. Why do I write a blog again?
Portland was wonderful. Powell’s Books was like coming home, the beautiful smell of paper, ink, old bindings. It made my head spin, and I had to stop myself every few minutes and pull my arm back. That alone was worth the drive.
That, and the company I keep:)
I could have stayed forever.
I hope this week goes fast.
