Today, I am thankful for this website.
When I first started at Rusty George in 2008, it was my first venture into the ‘Administrative’ world. I was often so busy during the day that I could barely function when I got home at night, but I did have my slow days.
And that is where 2birds1blog came in.
Written from the perspective of a twenty-something, it gives everyone a glimpse of what it’s like to be in the “real world”, while still trying to figure out when the hell we became part of that world in the first place. I can relate to Meg (the main blogger) on so many levels, and I have never “LOL’d” with no real explanation so much in my life. Countless fits of laughter that I cannot even try to control, or explain to anyone within earshot, or even share because so many people just…don’t…get it.
Over the last three and a half years, I’ve worked in several offices, each offering something new for me to learn and a different environment in which to learn it. The only constant has been my morning routine, coffee and 2birds1blog. Meg just doesn’t disappoint, and whenever I get responses from her on Twitter, I feel like we’re actually friends. Even though we’re totally not:)
This post is one of my favorites, and is pretty much one of the best things I’ve ever read. Ever.
Enjoy. Give thanks.
