Amel and Kim played a very dirty trick on me this morning, and if it wasn’t so hilarious, I MIGHT be pissed. Might be, but probably not, because they are two girls I can definitely tolerate.
I’ve been searching for a birthday dress, and for many reasons, it’s exhausting. Mainly because I don’t “do” shopping when it’s important and when I’m really searching for something. I’m picky, I irritate myself, and I lose steam almost immediately. Jean shopping is another story…but last night, I was on a mission, and it wasn’t for jeans.
damn.
Anyway. I enlisted Amel to help me, because I NEEDED someone to hold my hand. Like, for real, and I needed a second opinion and I needed someone to keep me on task…because I will walk out of a store with nothing for three hours if left to my own devices. We made a plan to hit the mall tomorrow (I know…bad idea anyway), and I went home last night feeling relieved.
This morning, I was looking through old pictures on my computer, and BEHOLD!, there is a photo of me wearing a dress that I completely forgot about. I’ve worn it once, it’s bright pink, it fits perfectly, and I don’t have to try on five million things anymore. I texted Amel and Kim asking what they thought about it (because I am THAT girl sometimes), and went back to work.
A few minutes later, I start getting text messages back.
Not only did they both agreee that it was a good dress, but they said the EXACT same thing, word for frickin’ word. I ignored it for a second, and started texting both of them back….and it kept happening. Text messages along the same lines, same kinds of words, topics…etc. So I called Amel, and she sounded confused when I asked if her and Kim were together.
“Kimmy’s at school. I’m on a break at work!”
Hmm. Okay. Those two are best friends, so thinking along the same lines couldn’t be the weirdest thing.
Then Kim called me. Confused.
“What are you talking about? I’m not with Amel.”
At this point, I was extremely weirded out, and the phone at work started ringing so I let her go for a second. Calling her back two minutes later….Amel answered, and I thought I had misdialed when I heard the giggles.
Girls. Sneaky sneaky girls…I love them:)
Last year:
[04 Dec 2008 | Thursday]
december fourth.
I watched The Professional last night, and it made me remember how much I LOVE that movie.
Starting today, everyone is calling me Leon:)
“These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
Which, as they kiss, consume.”
I love that. Act II, Scene VI.
I have so much to do today.
Six days until my birthday…
